) and its impact on treatment outcomes. ¹æ¹ý:A retroactive study of 40 patients who attended combined laryngology and pulmonary clinics
with a complaint of shortness of breath refractory to conventional asthma treatment.
VHI &RSI and Spirometric measurements were obtained before and after medical and cough
impression therapy. °á°ú:All patients had a high RSI and VHI before treatment. These numbers dropped significantly after
the therapy p-value (<0.05). A flattened inspiratory loop on spirometry was observed in less
than 30% of patients. °á·Ð:ILO is a clinical diagnosis that requires a collaborative multidisciplinary treatment approach
between a laryngologist, pulmonologist, and speech-language pathologist. Condition
explanation combined with speech and cough impression therapy is an effective method of
alleviating patients' symptoms |
