¸ñÀû: Empty nose syndrome is a disease that is difficult to objectively
diagnose. Currently, the English 'Empty-Nose-6-Item-Questionnaire'
(ENS6Q) is translated into the native language and used to evaluate
the severity of symptoms with a score. This questionnaire (ENS6Q) has
been validated to evaluate the subjective and disease-specific
discomfort of patients with empty nose syndrome.1 The purpose of this
study was to evaluate the The goal is to create a verified Korean
adapted questionnaire (ENS6Q-KAV). Additionally, the purpose is to
determine whether this questionnaire is valid for diagnosing ENS and
whether it is consistent through repeated questionnaires. ¹æ¹ý:The ENS6Q-KAV was translated into easily-understandable Korean following
the guideline of the developers. 22 patients for ENS and a control group
of 30 patients completed ENS6Q-KAV twice at intervals of 2 weeks. The
ENS6Q-KAV was evaluated for internal consistency, test-retest
reliability, and validity °á°ú:Of the 52 study participants, [ 27 ] were male and [ 25 ] were female.
Both ENS patients domain and control group domain showed high internal
consistency with their respective Cronbach¡¯¥á values.
Comparison of participant responses to the ENS6Q to assess validity for
differentiation of individuals using ENS and controls revealed
statistically significant results. °á·Ð:ENS6Q-KAV is a validated disease-specific questionnaire in Korean that
helps diagnose ENS patients more reliably. |
