¸ñÀû: It is not easy to estimate vestibular function of small experimental animal. Vestibular spinal reflex is more efficient than vestibular ocular reflex in a non-invasive way of estimating vestibular function in small experimental animal, so researchers have adopted circling or behavior test including change of head position or body posture traditionally in study. However these tests have many error in the interpretation because these measure various features compositely like emotion, locomotion, or memory rather than actual vestibular function. ¹æ¹ý:This class has designed tail hanging test for performing vestibular function test like posturography on animal. We blocked visual cue by putting ointment on the both eyes of animal and blocked proprioception by hanging tail then we observed whether the animal is balancing well only with vestibular function. But we couldnt use this test in some kind of mouse because old program used black and white camera, this fact made this camera has a downside not to be able to distinct difference between twisting and anterior bending, causing of reconsidering the effectiveness of this test. °á°ú:Therefore, new version of tail hanging test used a coloured-high speed camera. The Snout, hip, and the fixed tail were measuring point. Each distance between the measuring points and sway angle were combined to complete the measurement objects. Slc26a4 genotype modified mouse and labryinthectomy-operated mouse measured only minimal body sway angle to determine the effectiveness of the experiment. When set Wild type as a positive control group and ULx as a negative control, (p<0.000) was determined the difference (p=0.038). °á·Ð:We expect this experiment can do easy, non-invasive, and mass screening of vestibular function, and it also will be able to measure perfectly more than olds by adding algorithm of anterior bending according to bilateral vestibular function changes. |
