¸ñÀû: The public is interested in Esthetic since increasing social issue for beauty brings an exponential attention. Cartilage is an important operation target at ear-nose plastic surgery because elasticity of cartilage plays a significant role. A quantitative measurement of cartilages elasticity can obtain more natural results. In the process of correcting prominent ear, the amount of elasticity is the most important factor in determining whether the surgery can be proceed and enforcement. Ear cartilage has the difference in elasticity with age, race and gender however, the same surgical procedure was applied based on the experience of the surgeon. This is the reason why the method of measuring plasticity based on ones complex ear shape was not designed. ¹æ¹ý:The elasticity was measured at Darwin tubercle level of superior crus part in 21 volunteer patients who visited hospital from September 2014 to January 2015. The elasticity was physically measured 3 times at the same position by using a traditional and mechanical dynamometer. The average value of three measurements was used. Moreover, the method of using an invented electrical measuring device was applied at the same position. Two touch sensors were located at a particular ear. Distortion was applied at the ear and recovery time was measured by the computer. °á°ú:The result of electrical measuring device based on gender was informed that female showed high and constant elasticity (p<0.05). The electrical measuring device was not correlated with thickness of the ear. However, thickness of the ear was slightly correlated with mechanical measuring device (r^2= 247), and strongly correlated with dynamometer method (r^2=717). °á·Ð:Decision of ear-plastic surgery based on touching a surgical region of cartilage is inappropriate. Therefore, the simple measure of elasticity is necessary for the ear-cartilage plastic surgery.
