¸ñÀû: The purpose of this study was to investigate the feasibility of endoscopic-
assisted intranasal reduction without internal fixation for treating
unilateral maxillary fracture or tripod fracture. ¹æ¹ý:In the period of August of 2013 to November of 2014, seven patients with
maxillary wall fractures or tripod fractures underwent endoscopic assisted
intranasal reductions. Fractured bony fragments were repositioned under
guidance of ultrasonography. Additional Gillies approach was performed for
reduction of zygomatic arch fracture. Postoperative computed tomography
scans were performed. °á°ú:There were 6 men and one woman, ranging in age from 18 to 37 years. All
patients had facial swelling and tenderness on physical examination. Two
patients showed malar depression. Three operations were performed under
general anesthesia and four operations were performed under local
anesthesia. Postoperative CT showed well stabilized bony fragments and good
facial contour without surgical complications. °á·Ð:The authors suggested that endoscopic assisted intranasal reduction without
internal fixation is feasible for treating unilateral maxillary fracture,
or tripod fracture without severe dislocation. |
