¸ñÀû: Various materials are used for nasal dorsal augmentation in Asians. MegaDerm is newly introduced acellular allogenic human cadaver dermis. It has readily available carved type, and more advanced dermis processing technology than AlloDerm. But it has no clinical application and feasibility study in rhinoplasty. The present study evaluates the use of MegaDerm in rhinoplasty. ¹æ¹ý:From December 2013 to 2014, the authors report the results from a series of 53 patients (33 male and 20 female) using MegaDerm for dorsal augmentation. Follow-up periods ranged from 2 to 12 months. °á°ú:The mean age was 31 years. Eight patients were for revision rhinoplasty. Open and closed approach were 36 and 17, respectively. Additional material for more augmentation were used for 11 patients. In this series, there were no cases of infection, skin discoloration, visibility, significant resorption, extrusion, or other complications related to the material. °á·Ð:Therefore, the authors believe that Megaderm can be used a safe and effective material for dorsal augmentation in rhinoplasty. It was particularly useful for thin skin, revision, correction of dorsal irregularities and natural look. But, long-term follow-up study will be needed for the evaluation of resorption. |
