¸ñÀû: Sjogren's syndrome is a rheumatic autoimmune disease characterized by lymphocytic infiltration and destruction of the salivary and lacrimal glands. This study was aimed to evaluate the image findings of the involved salivary gland computed tomography (CT) and ultrasound (US) for Sjogren¡¯s syndrome. ¹æ¹ý:We retrospectively reviewed the medical records of 54 patients who complained of xerostomia with Sjogren¡¯s syndrome and performed US or CT from January 2006 to December 2012. We analyzed correlation between radiological findings and the duration of sicca symptoms and specific antibody titers. °á°ú:Forty-five patients performed CT, 13 patients performed US, and 4 patients performed both CT and US. On CT, 26 of 45 (58%) patients showed abnormal findings such as heterogeneous enhancement, abnormal fat tissue infiltration, and diffuse punctate calcification. 10 of 13 (77%) patients showed structural changes on US such as heterogenous echogenicity and atrophic change. The median duration of xerostomia until radiological evaluation was 4 (1¤Ñ144) months. The patients with xerostomia for more than 4 months showed significantly more advanced CT findings (p=0.006). There were no significant difference in US findings between groups (p=0.486). Anti-Ro & anti-Ra antibody titer were detected in 36 (80%) and 17 (38%) patients, but there were no relation between antibodies and image findings. °á·Ð:Either CT or US can be used to find Sjogren's syndrome in patients complaining of xerostomia. Furthermore, CT can be helpful for diagnosis of Sjogren's syndrome in patients with long duration of xerostomia.
