Pleomorphic adenoma is the most common benign tumor of the salivaty glands. We report rare case of nasopharyngeal pleomorphic adenoma arising from left lateral wall of nasopharynx. A 70-year-old female came to ENT clinic for nasal stuffiness. On Nasopharyngeal exam, round shape mass was protruding from left lateral wall of nasopharynx, and it filled most part of nasopharynx. Computed tomography revealed that about 2cm sized, mildly enhancing soft tissue originated from left eustachian tube orifice. We planned the endoscopic tumor removal under general anesthesia. After complete excision, histologic finding was correlated with atypical pleomorphic adenoma. After 3 months follow-up, there was no evidence of recurrence. We report the rare case of pleomorphic adenoma arising from nasopharynx. |
