¸ñÀû: Flexible fiberoptic laryngoscopy has been used to guide various in-office procedures for the past 3 decades. The aim of this study was to evaluate the diagnostic yield, accuracy of flexible fiberoptic In-office biopsies of laryngopharyngeal tumor ¹æ¹ý:This was a retrospective review of patients record at PNUH 2011-2014. In-office biopsies were performed using flexible indirect videolaryngoscopy with cup-forcep biopsies.. And all data was classified by pathologic report (i.e.. malignancy. Benign. Inflammation. Reactive lesion). All patients with malignant lesions were referred to appropriate services for treatment, and those with insufficient diagnosis or carcinoma in situ were followed to OPD re biopsy or OR biopsy for definitive diagnosis.
after that ,we count each numbers of following OPD re-biopsy and OR biopsy.and estimate the diagnostic yield. °á°ú:Total 1108 patient visited Office at first. 614 cases was performed through In office fibereroptic laryngoscope and 492 cases was performed at Operating room. The biopsy results revealed invasive carcinoma in 196, benign lesions in 208, and rest 210 cases was regarded as insuffient diagnosis. °á·Ð:Flexible fiberoptic In-office laryngeal biopsy yielded relatively high sensitivity in accessing suspicious lesions of the larynx. These results may indicate that If following procedure (i.e. direct laryngoscopy) was performed , It might be verty useful screeening test. |
