¸ñÀû: Sublingual immunotherapy(SLIT) is used as an alternative route of administration to subcutaneous immunotherapy(SCIT) in Korea. However, when patients choose the modality of immunotherapy voluntarily in Korea, the preference and the factors influencing their selection are not well understood. We sought to evaluate the preference and these selection factors. ¹æ¹ý:We surveyed 10 patients who were diagnosed with allergic rhinitis in reaction to house dust mites and were recommended immunotherapy. A questionnaire was conducted in which patients voluntarily selected the modality of immunotherapy. °á°ú:We found 6 patients selected SCIT and 4 patients selected SLIT. In SLIT, 2 patient select LAIS and 2 patient select Staloral. The factors affecting the choice were patients expected therapeutic effect by injection therapy (30.8%), price(23.3%), convenience(26.6%), hospital visits(17.5%), and others (1.8%) when patients chose SCIT. When patients chose SLIT, the factors were patients expected therapeutic effect by daily treatment(30%), convenience(20%), price(16.3%), hospital visits(32.5%), and others(1.2%). °á·Ð:These data suggest that when patients select the route for their immunotherapy in Korea, they prefer SCIT than SLIT.
