¸ñÀû: The silk patch is a thin transparent patch that is produced from silk fibroin. In this study, we investigated the treatment effects of the silk patch in patients with chronic tymapanic membrane perforation. ¹æ¹ý:The closure rate, otorrhea rate, closure time and satisfaction rate in all patients and the closure time in successful patients were compared between the silk patch and perichondrial myringoplasty. Demographic data were not significantly different between the two groups. °á°ú:The closure rate and otorrhea rate were not significantly different between the two groups. However, the closure time, operation time and satisfaction rate of silk patch group were improve than perichondrial myringoplasty group. °á·Ð:The silk patch which has transparent, elastic, adhesive, and hyper-keratinizing properties results in a more efficient surgical management than conventional myringoplasty in the treatment of chronic tympanic membrane perforation. Specially, silk patch technique might be considered for management of remained drum perforation of ventilation tube, perforated chronic otitis media without otorrea history, and the patients with keroid tendency or blood transmitted disease.
