¸ñÀû: The purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence of
dizziness in the general population and to describe its clinical
characteristics and associated factors using data of KNHNE survey. ¹æ¹ý:We evaluated data from the Korea National Health and Nutrition
Examination Survey between 2010 and 2012. A total of 12,653 of
participants over 40 years old were included in the study.
Participants were asked about their experiences of dizziness during
the prior 12 months. To evaluate the associated factors, data from
the health questionnaire, the nutrition, and physical examination
were analyzed. °á°ú:The prevalence of dizziness in South Korea was 21.68%. Female gender, older age were more influenced by dizziness. Many factors such as the cerebral infarction, the depression, the stress, the impaired motor performance, the impediment of activity due to visual acuity were associated with dizziness. Also, serum vitamine D level, serum TG level, smoking and alcohol were related with dizziness. °á·Ð:Female and older age were more affected by dizziness. Several
psychological factors, limited physical activity, and chronic
disorders were associated with the disease. Understanding and
management of risk factors seems to be important to improve the
condition. |
