Schwannoma is a benign neoplasm arising from the sheath of myelinated nerve fibers and may occur in any part of the body. Mostly,it occurs in the head and neck region, accounting for about 25% to 45% of all cases. The eighth cranial nerve is the most common site of origin.About 4% of all head and neck schwannomas originate from the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses.Usually,it appears a single mass and recurrence is very rare.We recently encountered 71 year old man with recurrent septal mass, finally diagnosed as schwannoma. We report the unique and rare case about recurrence of nasal septal schwannoma with a review of literature.
