The Korean Society of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, was founded in 1947. Earning reputation as an exemplary society over the past 67 years, the Society has grown to more than 4,300 members that composed about 3,800 specialists and 500 residents. The KORL-HNS is the leading organization devoted to Otology, Rhinology, and Head and Neck surgery and to the prevention and treatment of our department through excellence in research, clinical care, education, and public health.
We are proud that the KORL- HNS has reached a global scale to a certain degree. The 5th Asia-Oceania Congress of Otorhinolaryngological Society, 5th Congress of Asian-Pacific Hearing Loss, 10th Congress of IRS (International Rhinologic Society), 22nd ISIAN (International Symposium on INFE, 25th Politzer Society Meeting, Collegium Oto-Rhino-Laryngolgicum Amicitiae Sacrum Meeting, 6th Extraordinary International Symposium on Recent Advances in Otitis Media, 4th World Congress of International Federation of Head and Neck Oncologic Societies, 2nd and 8th Asia-Pacific Symposium on Cochlear Implant and Related Science (1999, 2011), and just last year’s the 20th World Congress of International Federation of Oto-Rhino-Laryngological Societies (IFOS) was held successfully thanks to the dedicated support and effort of our members.
Based on our experience, we would especially contribute to the development of Otolaryngology with the great new ideas, technology, and research in the world.
Our mission is “to devote itself to the improvement of the ear, nose, face, and neck health of the nation and the humanity.”
