¸ñÀû: Low frequency hearing loss has been known as main signs of Menieres disease (MD). But, the hearing loss and/or fluctuation may be seen in mid or high frequency range. In this study, authors analysed which frequency is the most fluctuating in pure tone audiometry (PTA) in each MD patients and try to find any relation between clinical parameters and the frequency. ¹æ¹ý:Ninety definite MD patients (one hundred nine cases) who were tested with PTA more than three times were included in this study and were analyzed retrospectively with medical records. The most fluctuating frequency was categorized into three group low frequency group (0.25, 0.5 kHz), mid frequency group (1, 2, 3 kHz), high frequency group (4, 6, 8 kHz). Vestibular function test parameters and clinical characteristics were analysed in three group to see any relevance according to the group. °á°ú:Low frequency group comprises of 45 cases (41.2%, 30 14dB), mid frequency 32 cases (29.3%, 32 17dB), high frequency 32 case (29.3%, 31 15dB), respectively. There was no significant difference by frequency. (p=0.912)There was no clinical significant differences of ECoG, Caloric test, VEMP results among three groups. Clinical symptoms (dizziness, headache, hearing changes, tinnitus, ear fullness), age and gender failed to show any differences, either. °á·Ð:In MD patients, mid and high frequency hearing loss and fluctuation can be observed instead of low frequency hearing loss. But, we failed to find any clinical significance of the most fluctuating frequency in PTA of MD patients in this study.
