External auditory canal polyp are most commonly inflammatory in nature but may also manifest more severe disease. Prolonged conservative therapy may delay the correct diagnosis and appropriate intervention. A case is presented of a 33-year-old man with chronic otorrhea treated for 1 year with topical drops and antibiotics. A large external auditory canal polyp was confirmed to represent a foreign body granuloma originating from a cotton swap. The most interesting thing that symptoms was recovered just removal of foreign body on surgical intervention.
