Bilateral sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSNHL) is very uncommon. Unlike unilateral SSNHL, bilateral SSNHL is more closely associated with serious systemic disease and shows a more severe degree of HL, poorer hearing prognosis and more significant impairment in morbidity. Although meningitis is one of possible cause of bilateral SSNHL, only a few cases were reported. We present a case of fatal Klebsiella meningitis accompanied by bilateral SSHHL.
