Choanal polyps arise from inflamed edematous mucosa of the paranasal sinuses or other nasal structures, and extend to the nasopharynx. Choanal polyps can develop from the maxillary sinus, sphenoid sinus, ethmoid sinus, frontal sinus, and nasal septum. In the present case, the polyp originated from the superior turbinate with choanal extension, which is a rare occurrence.
